What if it rains?
They say it rains in the Pacific Northwest, and to everyone outside the area, we want you to believe this! However, the E30 Picnic happens rain or shine.
Insider Tip: in late June the PNW is usually sunny with mild temps, with the notable exception of 2021!
Are dogs allowed?
Of course! Just keep them on a leash, and please clean up after them.
Are there food options?
Yes, we will have one or more food trucks that roll in to offer lunch and beverages.
Any don’ts?
No alcohol at LeMay, no E36s, no burnouts, and no engine rev’ing (womp womp). These are the LeMay rules, not ours!
Has anyone attend all of the E30 Picnics?
Besides former Chairman Lance Richert, we don’t know. Speak up if you are reading this and you have made it to all of them!
Can I donate to the raffle?
Yes! We’ll gladly accept donated raffle prizes from any and all E30-related businesses and raffle them off. Businesses receive valuable exposure for their products and services among the local and national E30 community. Please contact the organizers to coordinate.
I am coming from a distance of over one tank of gas, are there caravans I can hook up with?
Yes, E30 caravans form from all points North, South, East and West. Check the E30 Picnic Forum section of www.R3VLimited.com for caravan plans.
Can I sell E30 parts?
Yes – if you can fit it in your E30, you’re welcome to bring it to sell/trade. If you have a pickup truck loaded with stuff, please reach out to the organizers as we are usually tight on space.
How can I be a Featured Car?
We like to have four or five E30s which have special stories and park them in a special display. In the afternoon, we’ll gather everyone around and let these owners tell their stories. Each E30 story will be different. Could be a super high mileage survivor, a motor swap car, a nicely refurbished example, a highly modified track car, or something rare. Let us know what you have and the story behind it for consideration to be featured!
E30 Picnic… Weekend?
Oh yes! As folks traveled from farther distances, they wanted more to do than just a Sunday Picnic. In 2005 we added a Saturday afternoon E30 tech session, which morphs into an evening party hosted by R3Vlimited. Check out the event page of the upcoming picnic for details. With the caravans to get here, for some folks the E30 Picnic is a 4 or 5 day adventure!
My E30 is still a project, should I bring it?
If it can run under it’s own power, yes please bring it – all E30s are welcome. In fact, you will probably get lots of feedback from any number of E30 experts on ways to finish your project.
Where did you get all of the E30 license plate frames for the 2011 Poster?
Good question. Via the power of the internet we put out a call for E30-related license plates. E30 owners took pictures of their plates and sent them in, then they were immortalized in the event poster. That was a fun poster to create!
